Jazz Uplifts! is an in-school program that provides students in grades 3-6 with opportunities to explore music learning through educational jazz concerts and workshops.
In 2025, Jazz Uplifts! proudly presents the One O’Clock Combo from University of North Texas in a series of free concerts across Monterey County from October 21-23.
The One O’Clock Combo is a subset of the Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band® from University of North Texas. This elite ensemble consists of some of the finest young jazz musicians in the world. From standards to newly composed works, the group brings an engaging dynamic to each performance. The combo invites students to fun, engaging concerts where they will explore various styles and stories of jazz music.
2025 Jazz Uplifts! concert details: Three 1-hour concerts at three different locations:
• Tuesday, October 21, 10am at Foothill Elementary’s Multi Use Room, Monterey
• Wednesday, October 22, 10am at Sherwood Hall, Salinas
• Thursday, October 23, 10am at Fairview Middle School’s Gym, Gonzales
